Lentils = happy tums

I have a weakness for lentils, especially dal. My husband isn’t as keen as I am, but does enjoy some dal alongside indian curries. I often have lentils for lunch. I just rinse some lentils (usually red), cover them in a saucepan with water, add some salt and pepper and cardomon seeds then boil until the lentils soften and start to break down.
